The European Network for Cybersecurity (NeCS) PhD School

The European Network for Cybersecurity (NeCS) PhD School was launched in response to the increasing need of highly qualified experts in cyber-security. The School addresses the issues of training and development of talented junior researchers as indicated in the European Cybersecurity strategy and highlighted in the EC's Digital Agenda.

ENCASE advanced parental advice tools are being launched at schools

ENCASE along with the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute are arranging for the advanced parental advice tools to be tested by educators and young children in primary and secondary schools in Cyprus.

The pilots will take place at 3 schools in Cyprus (two primary and one secondary), and they are expected to last one week at each school.

The Cyberwatching.eu's featured project of the week for 16-20 December is project ENCASE (ENhancing seCurity and privAcy in the Social wEb).

Mastering ERM prepares the risk professionals to design and to install standards of Enterprise Risk Management which aim at boosting the procedures for decision making. It develops risk prediction and assessment skills and abilities necessary for risk management. In addition, it is addressed to all business executives, regardless of academic or professional background, who wish to invest in a new role in their career.

Scalable Policy-awarE linked data arChitecture for prIvacy, trAnsparency and compliance

Cyberwatching.eu is featuring SPECIAL (Scalable Policy-awarE linked data arChitecture for prIvacy, trAnsparency and compliance), one of the active cybersecurity and privacy project which explicitly delivers tangible results that support GDPR compliance and respectful treatment of personal information.

The Commission has made a commitment to launch a pilot phase under Horizon 2020 to help bring national cybersecurity centres together into a network. In line with this goal, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) released a technical report aiming to align the cybersecurity terminologies, definitions and domains to capture all the aspects in building the cybersecurity realm of knowledge.

This report presented some of the existing cybersecurity clustering approach and methodology that has been adopted to build the taxonomy which serves as reference sources in the domain.
