AEGIS - Accelerating EU-US Dialogue in Cybersecurity and Privacy is a EU2020 project aimed at stimulating dialogue and cooperation between EU and the US in the fields of cybersecurity and privacy.

EU to strenghten its expertise in cybersecurity research, technology and industrial development

Europe is stepping up its protection against cybersecurity threats, and is discussing a new structure of pool of expertise which will help secure the digital single market and increase the EU’s autonomy in the area of cybersecurity.

Europe is currently working on the establishment of a top knowledge base for cybersecurity and a network of national cybersecurity coordination centres called the European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Centre and the Network of National Coordination Centres.

Four EU pilot projects launched to prepare the European Cybersecurity Competence Network

The EU has just approved funding for four pilot projects to establish a European Cybersecurity Competence Network. CONCORDIA, ECHO, SPARTA and CyberSec4Europe are the projects winners of the Horizon 2020 cybersecurity call "establishing and operating a pilot for a European Cybersecurity Competence Network and developing a common European Cybersecurity Research & Innovation Roadmap".

Delivering cybersecurity to PAs through an user-friendly approach

COMPACT (COmpetitive Methods to protect local PA from Cybersecurity Threats) is a project funded under EU H2020 that aims to strengthen cybersecurity and cyber-resilience for local public administrations (LPAs).

The ECHO - European network of Cybersecurity centres and competence Hub for innovation and Operations - project will prepare the ground for the Cybersecurity Competence Network

The ECHO project (European network of Cybersecurity centres and competence Hub for innovation and Operations) is one of four Pilot projects, launched by the European Commission, to establish and operate a Cybersecurity Competence Network.  Amid keynote presentations from supporting representatives of EU agencies and industry, the project was officially launched at the Conference Hall of the Royal Military Academy of Belgium, on February 25th, 2019.

New SealedGRID Secondments

The SealedGRID consortium in an effort to compy with the project proposal started four secondments on February 2019. Two seconded researchers by BEIA started on February 7 their secondment at the University of Piraeus. Moreover, two seconded researchers from the University of Piraeus started on 4 February their secondment in BEIA. These seconded researchers will contribute to the project from their host organizations.

Project Hermeneut is a Horizon 2020 research and innovation project focusing on the economic aspects of cybersecurity, specially regarding intangible assets. It started in May 2017 and with a duration of 24 months it’s now approaching its end.
