WorldCIST’ – 7th World Conference on Information Systems and Technologies

BEIA Consult participated in WorldCIST’ – 7th World Conference on Information Systems and Technologies on 16-19 April 2019 in Galicia, Spain (La Toja Island). During WorldCist’19 BEIA had the opportunity to disseminate SealedGRID with various researchers and practitioners and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, results, experiences and concerns in the perspectives of Information Systems and Technologies.

SealedGRID at the RMIT Australia

On April 2, 2019, Dr. Alexandru Vulpe was at the RMIT Australia presenting his ongoing work in Security and Privacy for IoT. The presentation was well received and generated large discussions on new research directions of IoT Security. Also, Dr, Vulpe introduced the SealedGRID project and discussed further cooperation with partners from Australia.

eLSE Conference and SealedGRID

BEIA Consult participated in eLSE Conference on 11-12 April 2019 in Bucharest, Romania. This annual international scientific conference on “eLearning and software for education” enabled BEIA to present the paper “Mobile Application and Wi-Fi Network Security for e-Learning Platforms” with acknowledgement on SealedGRID and to exchange ideas, research outcomes, business case and technical achievements related to the project’s domain.

Presentation of SealedGRID and its results to the H2020 project Clustering Workshop in Athens

UPRC presented the SealedGRID project and its progress to the H2020 project Clustering Workshop in Athens on 28/3/2019. During the presentation we had a fruitful discussion with other researchers from the same research area. Anna Angelogianni introduced the project to show the goals of SealedGRID, the current limitations, the work carried out so far, the impact and the future actions.

1st and 2nd OCRE Introductory Webinars

The Open Clouds for Research Environments project (OCRE), aims to accelerate cloud adoption in the European research community, by bringing together cloud providers, Earth Observation (EO) organisations and the research and education community, through ready-to-use service agreements and €9.5 million in adoption funding.

The 4 European Cybersecurity Competence Centre, CyberSec4EuropeCONCORDIAECHO and SPARTA, project leaders will be participating in the European Parliament's plenary session in Strasbourg, 11-14 March 2019.

OCRE Kick Off Meeting

The OCRE project will hold its Kick-Off Meeting on 12-13 March 2019 in Utrecht, Netherlands where all project members are expected to gather and plan the next steps for the project.

OCRE Suppliers Face-to-Face Meeting

The OCRE team will present its delivery approach and tender and suppliers of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS and Earth Observation tools and services are invited to give input.

New SealedGRID Secondment in BEIA

Farnaz Mohammadi from UPRC started her secondment in BEIA on 1/3/2019. She will get involved in the WP3 which is about the key
management and will contribute to the authorization mechanism which is part of the WP4.
