Beyond Privacy: Learning Data Ethics - European Big Data Community Forum 2019: Presentations

e-SIDES has recently held its Final Community Event "Beyond Privacy: Learning Data Ethics - European Big Data Community Forum" in Brussels on November 14th, 2019. 

Community Position Paper "Towards a more accountable Big Data Governance and Responsible Innovation of Privacy-Preserving Technologies"

With the aim to complement our research and stimulate further dialogue around responsible Big Data innovation, e-SIDES has collected community opinions related to the debate on how Big Data solutions can be developed and used in a responsible way, paying particular attention to the potential of privacy-preserving technologies.

On 14th November joined “Cybersecurity For Europe 2019” organized by the CyberSec4Europe project.

CyberSec4Europe is one of the four large scale projects funded by the European Commission’sDG CNECT to pilot the key building blocks of the upcoming regulation, establishing a new European cybersecurity industrial, technology and research competence network and centre.

Showcasing PRIViLEDGE @ Convergence 2019

PRIViLEDGE project will be showcasing at global blockchain congress Convergence on Nov 12-13 in Malaga.

PRIViLEDGE will have a booth at exhibition venue of the conference where the project use-cases will be presented. The project's reprasentatives will engage in dialoge with the visitors to discuss how PRIViLEDGE's ambitious goal to increase the trustworthiness of European ICT services and products and the competitiveness of the European cryptography industry, is achieved within this project.

Constructing an Alliance for Value-driven Cyber­security

Constructing an Alliance for Value-driven Cyber­security (CANVAS) is the first project that provides an integrative view on the ethical and regulatory issues of cybersecurity. CANVAS unified technology developers with legal and ethical scholar and social scientists to approach the challenge how cybersecurity can be aligned with European values and fundamental rights.

28/01/2020 to 30/01/2020 is going to present its cybersecurity training solution at a joint information stand at FIC 2020, in Lille (France), on 28-30 January 2020.

Cybersecurity has become a major priority for organisations to protect themselves against cyberattacks, and due to the rising concerns about data risks to information security, companies of all sizes, and public sector organisations around Europe need trained professionals to help fill skills gap, key for developing cybersecurity processes.
