DataBri-X

The European Data Economy relies on the availability of data to develop innovative technologies, such as trustworthy AI made in Europe’ that reflects European values. Data spaces, platforms and marketplaces can help improve the release of such data potential. However, data sharing and data interoperability are still not developed.

TRUSTEE

In a world driven by data, it is natural for interdisciplinary and geographically distributed data repositories to arise. These repositories do not necessarily adhere to established interdisciplinary data representation standards or participate in any data federation initiatives. Thus, researchers have limited access to data. Additionally, preserving integrity, privacy and security in such exchanges is extremely challenging or even impossible.

SEDIMARK

Data have become one of the most valuable commodities of our time, with the size of data markets expected to reach EUR 100 billion by 2025.

NEPHELE

NEPHELE’s vision is to enable the efficient, reliable and secure end-to-end orchestration of distributed applications over programmable infrastructure that is spanning across the compute continuum from Cloud-to-Edge-to-IoT, removing existing openness and interoperability barriers.

The NEPHELE project aims to introduce two core innovations, namely:

HiPEAC

The objective of HiPEAC is to stimulate and reinforce the development of the dynamic European computing ecosystem that supports the digital transformation of Europe. It does so by guiding the future research and innovation of key digital, enabling, and emerging technologies, sectors, and value chains. The longer term goal is to strengthen European leadership in the global data economy and to accelerate and steer the digital and green transitions through human-centred technologies and innovations.

HPLT

The EU-funded HPLT project applies high-performance computing to scale and advance language technologies. Taking advantage of recent advances in machine learning and astonishing storage capacities, it will create and process huge language datasets and produce language and translation models in a large number of languages.

GREEN.DAT.AI

GREEN.DAT.AI aims to channel the potential of AI towards the goals of the European Green Deal, by developing novel Energy-Efficient Large-Scale Data Analytics Services, ready-to-use in industrial AI-based systems, while reducing the environmental impact of data management processes.

TANGO

The internet rules the world! Digital technologies are in every aspect of our lives, and data is more valuable than ever. In this context, the EU-funded TANGO project will explore cross-sector data sharing. Taking a citizen-centric, secure and trustworthy approach, it will create a new platform that provides transparent, secure, fair and accountable, as well as environmentally sustainable, data management. To strengthen the privacy for citizens and private/public organisations, TANGO will bring together 37 partners from 14 countries.

aerOS

The project aerOS aims at transparently utilising the resources on the edge-to-cloud computing continuum for enabling applications in an effective manner, incorporating multiple services deployed on such a path. Therefore, aerOS will establish the missing piece: a common meta operating system that follows a collaborative IoT-edge–cloud architecture supporting flexible deployments (e.g.

NEMO

NEMO establishes itself as the gamechanger of the AIoT-edge-cloud continuum by introducing an open source, modular and cybersecure meta-operating system, leveraging on existing technologies and introducing novel concepts, methods, tools, testing and engagement campaigns.
