The ECHO - European network of Cybersecurity centres and competence Hub for innovation and Operations - project will prepare the ground for the Cybersecurity Competence Network

The ECHO project (European network of Cybersecurity centres and competence Hub for innovation and Operations) is one of four Pilot projects, launched by the European Commission, to establish and operate a Cybersecurity Competence Network.  Amid keynote presentations from supporting representatives of EU agencies and industry, the project was officially launched at the Conference Hall of the Royal Military Academy of Belgium, on February 25th, 2019.

SealedGRID Internal meeting in BEIA

These days the SealedGRID seconded researchers from UPRC, in conjunction with BEIA’s researchers have an internal meeting to discuss issues about the SealedGRID architecture and the utilized authorization mechanism. Being more specific they discuss the integration of Blockchain in the SealedGRID authorization mechanism. After their meeting they developed progress on their integration. As future work they aim to implement it.

ZF Cybersecurity Trends 2019

ZF Cybersecurity Trends 2019 on 21 May in Bucharest, Romania, was an important event for SealedGRID dissemination, because of the numerous participants activating in the field of cybersecurity who attended, and the talks that were about the methods through which an IT infrastructure breaks down and how an attack can be intercepted. There were also presented the future of cyber attacks, and the new generation of cybersecurity entrepreneurs exposed their vision, the impact of GDPR.

Internal SealedGRID meeting at the University of Malaga

These days the SealedGRID seconded researchers from ΒΕΙΑ and Neurosoft, together with UMA’s researchers have an internal meeting to discuss issues about the SealedGRID key management. After their fruitful discussion they developed progress on the hybrid key management mechanism based on Web-of-Trust and Blockchain. Together with the authorization mechanism SealedGRID will provide a seamless energy distribution Smart Grid.

After their fruitful discussion they developed progress on the hybrid access control mechanism based on RBAC and ABAC.

New SealedGRID Secondment in University of Malaga

Alexandru Vulpe from BEIA started his secondment at the UMA on 24/4/2019. He will get involved in the WP5 which is about authorization and security interoperability.
