SCOTT approach to indoor localization presented to the biggest translational medicine centre in northern Poland

Indoor localization system developed by GUT within SCOTT project was presented on 21st of February during the annual meeting of specialists working in the area of translational medicine in Gdansk. Over 150 specialists from different fields of medicine, biology, biotechnology, pharmacy and chemistry, that work together in the biggest translational medicine centre in northern Poland, discussed relevant new preclinical research and disease-targeted research outcomes, that can be used to develop new methods to improve human health and longevity.

The future of digital security was discussed by Prof. Christos Xenakis and Demosthenes Economou, Head of Operational Security Unit of ENISA, in the “Athens Calling” broadcast on Greek National Radio (Proto Programma – ERT). The honorable guests, along with the radio host, participated in a two-hour conversation about the risks of the Internet, the digital threats that may endanger our life, how we can protect our online assets and the high demand for Cyber Security experts, not only in Greece but globally.

SECONDO at the Safer Internet Day 2020, Cyprus

On February 11th, Cyprus celebrated the Safer Internet Day (SID) 2020 with a major event in Nicosia, which was dedicated to encouraging everyone, from children, young people, parents and teachers, to industry, decision-makers and politicians in Cyprus, to play their part in creating a better Internet. In line with the SID slogan of “Together for a Better Internet”, the aim of this year’s conference was to raise awareness of the Internet’s potential risks to students between 11-16 years old, from all schools in Cyprus.

Seconded researchers, Aristeidis Farao, Vaios Bolgouras and Vasileios Tsolkas, from NEUROSOFT finished their secondments. They were seconded researchers at the University of Malaga (UMA) for 12 months. During their secondment, they participated in the following work packages: WP3 “Key Management and Authentication”, WP4 “Trusted Computing and Privacy Protection”, WP5 “Authorization and Security Interoperability” and WP7 “Dissemination, Standardisation, and Exploitation”. Their contribution is not limited on the submitted deliverables D3.1, D7.2 and D5.2 .
