OASIS and University of Oxford hosted a unique, two-day international workshop titled "International Workshop Data Protection in Real -Time" on 9-10 September in University of Oxford, UK. This workshop brought together software engineers, policymakers, lawyers, practitioners, technologists and independent data protection/privacy experts from industry, standards communities, regulators, government, and academia to share lessons learnt about data protection, discuss how to address challenges in today's society from a multistakeholder perspective.
In this workshop, new insights on the state of the art in real-time data protection service delivery were gathered, by identifying clear gaps common across various stakeholders that need to be filled and promising industry and research initiatives attempting to build solutions to hard problems.
David Wallom (Associate Professor and Associate Director – Innovation of the Oxford e-Research Centre) and Michel Drescher (Founder and Director of Cloud Consult Ltd., and as Cloud Computing Standards Specialist of Oxford e-Research Centre), two of the Professors from Oxford Univesity and Cyberwatching partners provided an enlightening talk titled "Visualising the EC H2020 Cybersecurity (Research) landscape". On the event of the adoption of the draft regulation laying down measures for a high common level of cybersecurity at the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, the AI4HealthSec project kicked off a process to provide its opinion.
