The project focuses on research, design and development of an active network element, an FPGA hardware card that enables real-time analysis of transmitted data structures in the optical network, based on xPON standards. It brings security innovation and GPON G.984, NG-PG G.987 and NG-PON2 analysis capabilities. At present, only an Ethernet based analysis is largely represented. This new system will contribute to improving the security of critical and metropolitan infrastructures.
On the event of the adoption of the draft regulation laying down measures for a high common level of cybersecurity at the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, the AI4HealthSec project kicked off a process to provide its opinion.
