
The MobileKey project proposes to create a network service for the secure provisioning of digital certificates, as well as the development of a universal client that allows the use of these certificates (for example digital signature) in a secure, transparent and ubiquitous way in any device with connection to Internet.
One of the most important requirements of electronic voting systems is to implement security mechanisms that guarantee the reliability of the electoral process and its results. In particular, guaranteeing the privacy and integrity of the votes are two of the key aspects in terms of electoral security. Normally, authenticity (guarantee the identity of the voter) and integrity (guarantee that the vote has not been altered) are achieved through the use of digital certificates. With them, the votes are encrypted and digitally signed at the voter's terminal before being sent to the voting servers using said digital certificates.
On the event of the adoption of the draft regulation laying down measures for a high common level of cybersecurity at the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, the AI4HealthSec project kicked off a process to provide its opinion.
