/e/ is a unique privacy by design ecosystem that combines a mobile OS, carefully selected apps, and online associated services, offering full privacy while matching consumers’ expectations of ease of use and convenience. With its emphasis on design and experience, /e/ is meant for everyone.

/e/OS comes with 20+ defaults apps to cover daily personal and professional needs (email, web browsing, instant messaging, etc...). These open source apps have been carefully selected to respect user privacy and improved to look great and be easy to use.

/e/OS also features an app store. We all love the convenience of the smartphone to hail a cab or car, or order pretty much anything from the palm of our hand. You will not need to give that up, and with the support of traditional Android apps, there are hardly any limits to what you can do on the go! In /e/’s app library, apps are ranked to show their impact on privacy, using a score from 10 to 0. When the app score is low, the store recommends similar apps that are better for your privacy.

/e/ offers a better solution that keeps users’ data private by default and stops data flows that don’t benefit users, saving battery and bandwidth. /e/ users benefit from a single user ID so they can seamlessly access, back up and even synchronize their data (email, calendar, documents, pictures) across their smartphone or computer, just like they’re used to.

Refurbished smartphones pre-installed with /e/OS are also available since 2019, along with business solutions such as custom designed OS and Mobile Device Management solutions. We are looking to broaden our range with other smartphone brands and models, and looking to expand beyond customers based in Europe, based on high demand.
