SIDATE - Secure information networks for small and medium-sized energy suppliers

Date:
01/01/2015 to 31/12/2018

Project Description:

In the research project SIDATE, tools and concepts are developed which on the one hand enable a better assessment of the existing security level, but on the other hand help to improve the IT security of small and medium-sized operating companies themselves. Particular attention is paid to the practicability of the tools and concepts, which should be applicable regardless of economic, organizational and personnel characteristics.
The goal of the project is, among other things, the development of key performance indicators (metrics) for recording the level of security and a description language that should capture and visualize basic elements and dependencies of the Critical Infrastructure.

In addition, a knowledge database and a cooperation platform will be created to support collaboration and exchange processes. In order to achieve the greatest possible user-friendliness, small and medium-sized operators are involved in the process.
