To achieve this, the European Commission drives European Research, Technology and Innovation initiatives that enable future technologies, software, services and networks.
In order to ensure an undisturbed flow of data and the highest possible cyber security in Europe, under the auspices of Commissioner Andrus Ansip's Free Flow of Data initiative, intensive guidelines for the EU Cybersecurity Act are being prepared. Following an open call, working groups composed of cloud industry representatives are in action, including the Working Group on Cloud Security Certification (CSPCert) and SWIPO. Their work will make a significant contribution to facilitating a free flow of data within the European Union as well as the use of cloud technologies for European companies.
The ambitious pace and pleasing results of recent months are encouraging: thanks to the major European reforms in data protection (EU GDPR, NIS) and the current Free Flow of Data Initiative, Europe may well become the model for the global market. Or to put it another way: this unique selling point offers us the chance to become a major player in the digital revolution!
During the current European legislative period, the proposals of the various cloud working groups shall be examined and implemented, according to the request of Andrus Ansip.
Therefore, on December 6, 2018, the CSPCert and SWIPO working groups invite you to the "Cyber security and cloud computing: How Europe can achieve the ultimate competitive advantage in the digital world market" conference in Vienna.
