The research project REZEIVER develops new, practical techniques and algorithms to implement time-based decryption. It uses so-called blockchains: an ever-growing list of computed datasets that are simultaneously secured to protect against manipulation and revisions in many distributed databases. This technology is currently being used in bitcoins, for example.
The goal is to encrypt a message so that a blockchain can be used for decryption - without having to know the key at the time of encryption.
In addition to efficient encryption methods, alternative calculation variants are also being examined with which the new concept can be put into practice.
On the event of the adoption of the draft regulation laying down measures for a high common level of cybersecurity at the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, the AI4HealthSec project kicked off a process to provide its opinion.
