In environments such as electronic voting or electronic administration, the privacy and integrity of the data are protected by cryptographic techniques. To protect the cryptographic keys that are used in these environments, cryptographic hardware such as the HSM (Hardware Security Module), which are very expensive and generally not very flexible devices (static configurations), is usually used. The main objective of this project is to provide a cloud-based HSMs platform, which is highly flexible (allowing the programming of complex cryptographic operations) and scalable, so that it can be offered as a computational resource in the cloud (HSM as service or HSMaaS). The project proposes the integration of the platform with Scytl's electronic voting solution to be able to use it as a measure of protection and delegation of the cryptographic operations of the electronic voting protocol. GRADIANT, as a project partner, is in charge of the development of the base platform of "HSM as a Service" and of building on it the vertical of electronic voting based on the requirements and needs of SCYTL SECURE ELECTRONIC VOTING.
On the event of the adoption of the draft regulation laying down measures for a high common level of cybersecurity at the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, the AI4HealthSec project kicked off a process to provide its opinion.
