IT-Labs is a German company developing software solutions, providing innovative and secure technologies. IT-Labs is in the homecare market for more than 12 years, during which it has combined the experience, knowledge and skills to take healthcare industry to the digital age. IT-Labs provides the impetus that should change homecare.
Since 2017, IT-Labs is developing the software Alberta as the first intelligent care platform for over 8 million chronically ill patients. Based on evidence-based algorithms, Alberta enables optimal product and care and makes daily work easier for pharmacies, medical supply stores and homecare companies. Besides Alberta, IT-Labs is working on trainings management solution to track the status of employee trainings.
Within the UNICORN project, the IT-Labs developed a web-application for employee-training management. On this platform employees of our costumers are tracked whether they have all necessary trainings for their jobs. The objective is to track and collect all the data and give insightful reports, which members or teams are lacking in training.
They adopted a few components of the UNICORN Cloud Operations (UCO) Platform – firstly, its privacy preserving rules, which enable applications to better protect their private and sensitive data, and detect the unwanted data extraction. Further, we used application monitoring feature: health status of our application was continuously monitored and immediately reported if a component fails. If for example our nginx reverse-proxy infront of our API service fails – the service is no longer reachable. We can see this immediately in the UI and react accordingly. This feature helps to see immediately if something within the microservice architecture is going wrong. This helps devops employees to react very fast and decreases service downtimes.
UCO Platform was designed by the UNICORN project.
UNICORN aimed to simplify the design, deployment and management of secure and elastic –by design- multi-cloud services.
IT-Labs participated in UNICORN’s Validation Contest.
The design of the UCO Platform enables applications to better protect their private and sensitive data.
UCOs privacy preserving ruling enables detection of unwanted data extraction.
UCO Platform’s key advantages proved to be:
