The 24th edition of the European Symposium on Research in Computer Security took place in Luxembourg from 23 to 25 of September. The latest edition of this highly ranked conference was composed by with three days of the main symposium followed by two days of satellite workshops, with the attendees having the chance to enjoy an excursion through the Luxembourgish wine valley with wine tasting, followed by a dinner cruise on the Moselle river.
In such event, Javier Lopez, Cristina Alcaraz and Juan E. Rubio presented the article entitled ‘Enhancing Security and Dependability of Industrial Networks with Opinion Dynamics’, that offers a novel technique to accurately assess the security of an industrial network (e.g., the Smart grid) in real time, while considering Quality of Service metrics to provide a response against attacks in a timely manner.
