ITASEC 18

ITASEC 18 is the second italian conference on Cybersecurity. A big annual event, sponsored by the CINI Cybersecurity National Laboratory, with the ultimate goal to gather in the same spot researchers, academia professionals, industry representatives and policy makers dealing with cyber-risk, on the whole. The structure of the conference is relly engaging and will be split between three main "fil rouge" to further analyse the most important subjects of the field:

• Science &Technology. The conference will tackle an incredibly wide of cybersecurity aspects as the following ones: big data analytics, critical infrastructure protection, digital identity, electronic voting, hardware trust and security, machine learning and artificial intelligence, malware detection and analysis,privacy, security governance and risk management, surveillance systems, e-commerce security, vulnerability assessment.
• "Fil Rouge" track. Every year the conference put a specific topic in the limelight, to be tackled in a multidiscilinary way through targeted IT and non-IT sessions. Toic of this year will be "Fostering security through web-based intelligence: tools, opportunities and inherent limitations". The subject will be addressed in its entirety covering elements of disciplines like: social sciences, legal sciences, economic sciences, politica sciences and other non-technological areas.
• Demos track. This is an invaluable oortunity to gain a first-hand experience with research prototypes or operational systems (included in any of the areas identified within the S&T track). Furthermore, demonstrations are a unique chance to share smart ideas gained from the implementetion of cybersecurity systems and, on the other side, to get helpful feedbacks from expert users. Each demonstration has to be accompanied by its submission that summarises in 5 pages the main outcomes and findings addressed by the demo.
