The 2nd Concertation Meeting of H2020 projects from unit H1 "Cybersecurity & Privacy” gathered over 60 representatives from all projects in the unit in order to discuss a series of topics, including focus on the key topics and collaboration between the newly funded competence centre pilot projects and discussion on future directions for the Horizon Europe and Digital Europe Programmes.

Cybersecurity and Privacy issues are becoming an important barrier for a trusted and dependable global digital society development. Cyber-criminals are continuously shifting their cyber-attacks specially against cyber-physical systems and IoT, since they present additional vulnerabilities due to their constrained capabilities, their unattended nature and the usage of potential untrustworthiness components.

This session presented the latest trends in digital data privacy, the upcoming privacy challenges which our Big Data era may pose and the EU's latest privacy related policy initiatives.

ENISA, DG CONNECT, the University of Rome Tor Vergata and LUISS University are organizing the Annual Privacy Forum (APF) 2019. The Forum will focus on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the forthcoming Regulation on Privacy and Electronic Communications.

A common website for the 4 Pilot projects for the European Cybersecurity Competence Networks: ECHOCONCORDIASPARTA and CyberSec4Europe, has just been launched.

It will be an opportunity for all Unit H1 and Cybersecurity Projects to join forces, exploit synergies and to provide inputs directly to the EC.

The second Cyberwatching Concertation Meeting will take place in Brussels, Belgium on 4th June 2019.

After the successful first Cyberwatching.eu’s Concertation Meeting that gathered more than 40 Research and Innovation projecs and identified common themes and challenges for future clustering activities, Cyberwatching.eu is now organizing the second Unit H1 Cybersecurity & Privacy EC Concertation Meeting which will be held on 4 June 2019 in Brussels.
