The Cyberwatching.eu project, CSA-supported under Unit H1 of DG Connect, is aiming to cluster active projects with similar aims for their mutual benefit, by identifying possible opportunities for lightweight synergies and supporting them with targeted support activities, such as joint webinars and outreach activities.
As a follow up of the virtual meetings held last July, cyberwatching.eu has launched a call for the projects of both groups with the aim of organizing different webinars around the topics identified as of interest.
The main activity that has been identified is the organisation of 4 joint webinars around the following themes / sectors:
Based on the expressions of interest received by the different projects, preparatory meetings have begun to determine the general objective of each webinar, the different views of the participants and how to approach them in the most attractive way for the audience.
As a result of these meetings, on November 12 cyberwatching.eu will be holding the first of these webinars focused on the Energy sector, under the title “EPES and Smart GRIDS: practical tools and methods to fight against cyber and privacy attacks”, with the collaboration of the SealedGRID, DEFEND, SDN-MicroSENSE and Energyshield projects.
The next webinar that is currently in preparation will be aimed at the Healthcare sector, and will focus especially on Security and Privacy by design. On this occasion, the projects that will be showing their cybersecurity solutions in a practical way will be DEFEND, PAPAYA and PANACEA, and the event will be aimed mainly at health organizations and manufacturers of medical devices. The final date is yet to be determined, but it is expected to be held in mid-December.
Another webinar in preparation is related to Threat Intelligence and Information Sharing. On this occasion, the projects interested in participating are ECHO, SECREDAS, SAPPAN, SecureIoT, KRAKEN y CARAMEL. As this group is more numerous, and given that each project specializes in different concepts within the area of "Threat intelligence and information sharing", a careful analysis of the common aspects of the results offered by these projects is currently being carried out with the cyberwatching.eu support in order to establish a webinar thread showing a consistent approach.
The preparatory meetings for the webinar focused on the Finance sector will begin soon, which currently has the interest of the FENTEC and DEFEND projects, but which is open to other projects interested in showing their cybersecurity solutions in this sector.
