IoT Day Roundtable

On occasion of the Global IoT Day, I would like to call your attention to an online roundtable discussion with the EU H2020 projects EU-IoT, IoTAC, SecureIoT and SerIoT, about the security challenges and research issues of IoT. It will take place on 9 April 2021, 12.00-13.30 (CET).

The Roundtable will begin with the introduction of the 4 H2020 research & innovation and coordination & support projects that aim to develop a secure, accountable and privacy-friendly IoT architecture.

The speakers are Prof. Erol Gelenbe – from IITIS, coordinator of SerIoT, Dr John Soldatos – from Intrasoft International for the projects EU-IoT and SecureIoT, and Andras Vilmos – from ATOS, coordinator of IoTAC. The discussion will be moderated by Dr Sofia Tsekeridou, Head of Security Lab, Intrasoft International.

Following the introduction, we will have a moderated discussion between the participants, focusing on:

  • Key IoT security challenges
  • The role of EU R&D projects in solving IoT security weaknesses
  • The potential of an EU wide IoT security standard
  • IoT visions – What to expect in 5 and 10 years’ time.
