
Lina Jasmontaite joined a PhD program at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in September 2016. Currently, she works on the Horizon 2020 project titled "Constructing an Alliance for Value-driven Cybersecurity" (CANVAS). She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E, IAPP). After obtaining an LLM in Law and Technology (cum laude) at Tilburg University (The Netherlands), she completed the European Commission traineeship program at the European Data Protection Supervisor. She worked as a legal intern in a Brussels-based European privacy and data security practice in 2013. She worked as a legal researcher at the Leuven University (CiTiP) in 2014-2016. Her research interests include protection of human rights, regulation of new technologies and cybersecurity.
On the event of the adoption of the draft regulation laying down measures for a high common level of cybersecurity at the institutions, bodies, offices and agencies of the Union, the AI4HealthSec project kicked off a process to provide its opinion.
