Clemente Fuggini

Mr. Clemente Fuggini (MSc, PhD, Professional Engineer, PRINCE2® Foundation Certified)
Civil engineering with +15 years’ proven experience in risk and resilience engineering, disaster risk management and vulnerability analysis for buildings and infrastructures.
In the last ten years, he has been involved in several International research & innovation projects, acting as project partner in +150M€ funding projects and managing as Project Coordinator +20 M€ funding.
Mr. Fuggini is currently Head of Research and Innovation for the Infrastructure Business Unit of RINA. As such he oversees all R&D&I activities of the Business Unit with emphasis to Security, Critical Infrastructure and Resilience Engineering, topics on which he has acted as R&D Programme Manager for RINA in the past years.
Currently he is the Coordinator of the H2020 Critical Infrastructure project SecureGas (Security and Resilience of the EU Gas Critical Infrastructure), the Standardization Manager of the H2020 Critical Infrastructure project Safety4Rails (Security and Resilience of Rail and Mass Transit Transport Critical Infrastructure), and RINA Project Manager in the H2020 Critical Infrastructure projects INFRASTRESS (Security and Resilience of Sensitive Industrial Sites and Plants).
Mr. Fuggini is member of the European Virtual Risk Institute (EU-VRI), chair of TA4 "Resilience" of the Integrated Mission Group for Security (IMG-S), member of the Executive Board of the Infrastructure & Mobility Committee of the European Construction Technology Platform (ECTP).
Finally, Mr. Fuggini is author of +70 papers published in peer-reviewed journals, books and conference proceedings.
